Throughout the month of May, Dinyar sang performances of Puccini's rarely performed first opera Le Villi with the Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston.  For his performance as Roberto, he was lauded by critics and audiences alike.  Here are a few highlights of the reviews he received for his debut in this dramatic role.

"In 'Le Villi' (The Willis), Rowley appeared with the terrific tenor Dinyar Vania who, as Roberto, sang with a robust but focused tone. He, too, enjoys the ability to stretch across his range with a certain consistency. His high notes rang clear."

-The Post & Courier

"Tenor Dinyar Vania was spectacularly effective as Roberto with a clarion top end, and more than enough vocal oomph."

-Charleston City Paper

"After hearing Vania sing Roberto's rueful "Torna ai felici dì" (Return to the happy days) upon his return from the city, I wouldn't count him out for the future. There is heft and magic in the voice."

-Creative Loafing Charlotte

"Dinyar Vania, one of the betrothed, had a gorgeous tenor voice and I found my eyes wet with tears during his 'L’abbadnono.'”
