Dinyar Vania has recently emerged as one of the country’s most exciting young tenors. With a voice which combines both power and beauty, he has earned critical acclaim portraying several of the most beloved roles in opera. In the 2017-18 season, Dinyar is Don José in Carmen with Opera Coeur d’Alene, Cavardossi in Tosca with Opera Roanoke, and Lieutenant Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly with Syracuse Opera.
Dinyar has already performed in many of the most prestigious Opera houses including Minnesota Opera, Opera Omaha, Dallas Opera, Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Utah Opera, New York City Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, The Glimmerglass Festival, and the Savolinna Festival in Finland. He has also joined the rosters of the Metropolitan Opera and Teatro alla Scala in Milan for their productions of La Bohéme and Verdi's Attila respectively. His signature roles include Rodolfo in La Bohéme, Cavaradossi in Tosca, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Don Jose in Carmen, and more recently adding Des Grieux in Puccini's Manon Lescaut and Dick Johnson in La Fanciulla del West. Equally comfortable on the concert stage, Dinyar has performed with Seattle Symphony Orchestra, The Jacksonville Symphony, The Harrisburg Symphony, The Syracuse Symphony Orchestra and made his Carnegie Hall debut as a soloist in Beethoven's 9th Symphony.
